Vinyl Storage Ideas

I am seeing several Facebook Group members asking about how others are storing their vinyl. This is actually a post that I wanted to create for a while now. So I figured it would be a great time to take the time to create a post to spark some ideas for people. It would also be wonderful for those that have come up with their own ways to share and post photos as well.Below are several I've  come across through Pinterest and other blogs along the way. I have done my best to credit the links to the image however there are some where the original source was not found. [wp_ad_camp_3]To start with is a blogger that has spent sometime sharing hers and other ideas she's come across on her page found here. Etching Metal with Your Silhouette Cameo Machine

[wp_ad_camp_3] I recently decided to make my purchase of the Chomas Etching Tool for my Silhouette Cameo. This is something I had known about for months but was debating whether or not to get it. I wasn't sure how well it would work...after all the machine is primarily known to cut paper and vinyl...(thin) materials...so how could it possibly engrave or etch metal. But a recent post I saw pop up in my feeds reinforced the idea this tool was something I had to get my hands on to test out for myself. What is a Chomas Etching Tool and what will it do?The engraving tip does not require any other special pieces to work. No special mats either, just use your original Silhouette mat.It will engrave or etch on pretty much anything you would normally cut! The tip is made of a very hard carbide. Works best on metal sheets, Core'dinations cardstock, acrylic,...

Free Converted Font for Valentine’s Day

To be able to get some quick Valentine designs out to you as quickly as possible, I decided to convert a heart font I had in my collect. I can NOT take credit for these designs. It's actually a free to use font KG Heart Doodles that can be found on most free font websites. It was created by an artist named: Kimberly Geswein. I believe I originally downloaded mine from dafont.com and can be found here: www.dafont.com/kg-heart-doodles.font What I did here was to take the time and converted these to be vector/svg images and only did most of the Upper and Lower case letters along with ones that I believe would work well as cut files in Silhouette. I even altered the ones with a "scribble" fill by making them a solid image to create cut friendly graphics. I am sharing with you a PDF file, Studio and .SVG file option. You are more than welcome to...

Here are some that I've come across that I really like...I'll do my best to share ones that I find that are free however not all of them maybe. It wouldn't be fall without a great set of leaves. Understanding Silhouette Cameo File Formats

Please Read through if you are asking how to open or use any of the design files. As I'm starting to create more and more design cut files, I'm getting a lot of questions of how to get files to work coming from a lot of newbies to the cutting vinyl community. I'm happy to help but answering the same questions a dozen times a day ends up taking up a lot of my time so I've decided to create this post. When starting in this venture of selling my designs, I wanted to follow the standards of what most designers use which in a lot of cases, only offer SVG files since this is typically pretty universal for most dicut machines. However, I'm finding out there are several people wanting other formats which I'm starting to include (mind you requires a lot more dedicated time in creating designs, uploading and creating listings). Beyond this I'm finding out...
