Ok…This tip is not my own but from a Facebook Group Follower (Christopher Hoe) that had posted this to our feed. I thought it was very helpful especially for many of those that utilize Coral Draw. I personally do not have this program and work with Illustrator myself but still found this to be a wonderful tip to share. Here is the step by step as well as the file that he included to download that is utilized for this to work. Here are the exact instruction and images that were shared.

A simple and quick guide for begginers who wish to save time when cutting out multiple colours… just do them all at once.

If you don´t use Corel Draw and silhouette connect then you can skip Step 1 & 2 … for those that do, I´ve added a 12 x 12 cameo cutting mat template in CDR Format to the files, should you wish to use it  – (Step 1 and 2 are purely for positioning purposes only and not really necessary)

STEP 1: Open the Corel Draw 12 x 12 Cameo Mat template.
STEP 2: Seperate the colours of your design and place them on the mat template …now DELETE the mat template from your screen and send the layout to Sillhouette Connect.
STEP 3: Choose the required settings in your Sil Proggie and leave ALL colours selected.
STEP 4: Place the correct colours and sizes of material on your cutting mat, making sure you position them according to your preview.
STEP 5: Press start and have a cup of tea while your machine cuts out all the bits and pieces.
STEP 6: Weed and print

Working with Adobe and Silhouette Studio…I work also cut all my items at once if I can. I make sure to measure what is shown on my screen and make sure the size of my vinyl matches up to what is shown onscreen and on my mat. Much simpler to do as many cuts with one pass through than having to do multiples times through the machine…especially when your working with a layered image.

A special thanks To Christopher Hoe for providing these helpful tips and file.

Do you have your own setup that works? Feel free to share yours in the comments below.

I hope this is helpful to someone…as always Stay Inspired!
